Singing for Bones

Marching Mind Project

Thu Sep 3, 2009, 2:06 PM
For the last few months I've been working on a big project. I wish I was more involved with the dA community, but it seems like I barely have the time to keep on top of the message board, let alone get to know everybody and waltz about in chatrooms and such.

The big project I've been working on is a band thing. The band is Marching Mind [link] , and they call themselves the Godfathers of Grog. Grog, such as it is, is a mixture of grunge and progressive rock influences. If you can imagine, say, a fusion between Rush and Pearl Jam, it would probably sound like Marching Mind. But don't take my word for it, click on the link and give it a listen.

I've been doing all the artwork for the band. I designed a poster (which you can see here: [link]) for their first gig, and I've since designed their album booklet as well, with four new original drawings. These will be posted, with prints available, sometime in the next few weeks. Additionally, I've taken quite a few photos of the band, which they have been happy with. My photography skills are still rather weak, but I'm learning. I'll be posting some of the gig pics I've taken, so stay tuned.

Um, that's all for now. I'm trying to get better at this whole journal-update thing, hehe.

Hey stranger. How is all? (:
:iconlaquare:
Relatively decent. Money is hard to come by these days, but I feel fine, so that's a plus. Catch you on Skype sometime?
:iconlimnides:
Mm, understanding you as far as the money-thing is concerned, hah.

and maybe. ;p

- I'm not on it very often and when I am it's mostly to speak with my sister (cheaper than international calling, hah). (:
I'll try to log in more often, though.

Well, good to see you're pursuing your dreams overseas!

Keep painting :) and take care.
