Green Archer

Graphite on drawing paper.

Process:
(1) Everything is drawn from my head, no source material.
(2) I use Staedtler pencils No. 2H, HB, 2B, and occasionally 4B. I very rarely use anything softer than 4B and never use anything softer than 6B, because the consistency of Staedtler leads changes after that grade and it becomes more like indelible charcoal.
(3) The paper is Stonehenge. Sweet paper for drawing finished products.
(4) I suck at landscapes, so I just fake them with a lot of jutting stone formations and foliage.

Other Notes:
(1) The title is a reference to the video game Gauntlet, in which Sumner is constantly saying things like "Red Valkyrie has gained a level!" or "Green Archer needs food badly!" If you haven't played any of the Gauntlet games, rent one of them and some extra controllers and invite some friends over. Total party game.
(2) My favourite parts include (a) her hair and (b) the handle of her sabre.
(3) I've had a lot of people say she looks like either Nicole Kidman or Avril Lavigne. That's a coincidence, but since I like the way both of them look, I'm not surprised their likenesses were prised from my subconscious. Special thanks to my subconscious for providing this source material.
(4) I actually sold a framed print of this one.
(5) I talk too much.
